Star Wars: Annabelle Rama Slams Heart Evangelista and Miriam Quiambao

Feisty lady, Annabelle Rama
In a presscon for Royale Artists Management, Inc. owned and managed by Annabelle Rama, the feisty Guttierez matriarch revealed her anger over Heart Evangelista’s decision to not renew the co-management contract with her.

Rama said, “Pinakamalaking kontrata, nakuha ko sa GMA-7. Pinakamalaking trabaho na nakuha ko sa kanya, hindi pa sila ma-satisfy. Naloloka ang byuti ko! Nakuha ko yung contract, kinuha sa akin ng mommy niya ang kontrata niya, for another three years. Napakalaki ng kontrata. Naduling yata ang nanay sa pagbasa. The next day, sinabi niya na 'ayaw ko nang mag-renew, hanggang two years lang tayo,' samantalang mag-two years pa lang kami.”

Anabelle Rama was referring to Heart’s mom, Mrs. Cecile Ongpauco, who she says got greedy over the commission from Heart’s talent fee.

Heart’s Camp

Heart Evangelista
Mrs. Cecile Ongpauco is standing by her decision no to renew the co-management contract with Anabelle Rama. In a statement, she stressed that, “We have always been Heart's main Manager and have always been behind all the major decisions, projects and career moves of Heart even when we HIRED Annabelle Rama to co-manage Heart. We do not wish to dignify her wrongful statements towards Heart. And we stand by our decision and it is our prerogative not to renew the co-management contract that we gave to Annabelle when it expires in 2011.”

Meanwhile, Heart, who remains to be calm and quiet despite the storm brought about by Annabelle has only this to say, “Contracts are made to end. I guess by not renewing the other party isn't happy. I've always been handled by my family. I don't think there's anything wrong with that. I'll always be grateful to the people that helped me along the way. Positive vibes. God bless!”

Miriam Irks Annabelle

Miriam Quiambao
In the same presscon, Annabelle also vented her frustration over 1998 Ms Universe first runner-up, Miriam Quiambao. Rama said she got annoyed when Quiambao kept pestering her about the talent manager’s plan for her career.

Rama said, “Kinukulit niya ako. Ang sabi sa text, 'I want to talk to you. Are you free this afternoon? I just want to know anong plano mo sa buhay ko, anong plano mo sa career ko?”

Then Rama reportedly texted back, “Pabayaan mo akong dumiskarte dahil mula nang hawakan kita, nagkaroon ka ng trabaho. Dahan-dahan lang sa pera. Huwag masyadong suwapang! Pabayaan mo akong dumiskarte sa career mo!”

Rama said that what really annoyed her is Miriam lack of trust with her, “Maghapon yung pagti-text niya. Sabi ko, 'wag akong buwisitin dahil lahat naman sila iniisip ko ang career kasi kung may trabaho sila, may pera rin ako.”

Miriam’s Side

When asked for reaction, Miriam, who seems shocked that what she thought was a private conversation came out in public, “Actually, it was an innocent request for a meeting between manager and talent. Because I wanted to know the direction where she wants to take my career. And to also let her know what my preferences are. Syempre, work will follow. Since she didn't get back to me, I texted her about my questions. Didn't expect that she would go public with what was intended to be a private conversation. Nonetheless, I'm still open to conversation.”
